While in the filmschool in cuba, we had a directing workshop with mike figgis. the workshop was kind of useless.

being a good director (also negotiable, depending on your taste) does not necessarily mean being a good teacher. anyway, we worked with some friendly acting students from the ISA, the arts university in havana. on the farewell night for mike figgis everyone was kind of drunk and minerva, one of the acting students started telling me this. i never quite understood what exactly she means or why she felt it was time telling me but noneoftheless i am thinking about it occasionally.
